XP Deus

Post by mrix »

Hi all, I am now in possession of an XP Deus where I will be creating a series of videos on my personal progress with the machine ::g
The initial video is purely just an un-boxing and having a closer look at the components, its only going to appeal to anyone who is in the thinking stage about purchasing one of these machines.
I have never used an XP metal detector but I am very interested in putting the machine through its paces B-)
As you can imagine I`ll be keeping far more of an eye on our XP Deus forum for tips and tricks from you more experienced users ;)
Cheers all

Hi Mrix,
I'll post them up then, also it might help other members ::g

I use Basic 1 with custom settings which are as follows ...

discrim 8 ...... expert 2 tones ... expert set tone 1 to 200 hz ... and tone 2 to 201 to 791hz.

sens 90-99 (depending on your soil conditions) ... expert tx power 3
freq 18khz or 12 Khz (I've actually found that 12 Khz will find hammereds 2 inches deeper than 18Khz! :-O )

iron vol. 2-3

reactivity 3 .... expert silencer 2

audio resp. 5 ... expert audio overload 0 - this allows deep iron to still be loud blurt and save you digging

notch ... i leave mine at 00.00 but you could change yours to filter out trash.

Best of luck,

Sam :;@

Good Video, in fact it reminded me of John Lynn ones in Years past.

John did 2 good Deus write-ups in the early part of 2010 following extensive research and development for Alaine Loubec the inventor and manufacturer but as many of you will know John sadly passed on soon afterwards.

Its a really nice detector which I have used for nearly 3 years, but I will say no more at this stage as I look forward to seeing the next video clip. ::g Jerry.

Just watched the first one and started watching the second.

Good videos, in fact better than the xp explained ones on the assembly side !

I'm now back to thinking am I better getting the Deus lite instead of the GMP !

It hadn't even occurred to me that the coil would need charging ! How long does it take to charge and how long does a charge last ?

If only I had a MD site and XP might send me one to play with too :-)

Mrix feel free to tell them i'm your chief tester and might need one too ;-p :-)

The coil takes about 2-3 hours to charge fully... And lasts about 12-15 hours depending what setting you use ::g Although you do receive an emergency charger with it :D B-)
