It certainly looks a chunky detector
The trouble with these review sites or infact any detector related site is the fact that when a new detector or detector related product is launched by a 'non high profile maker' you can get 'stooges' to place what appears to be honest reviews from honest detectorist to push up sales when infact it could be the same person using many different names to throw people off the sent. You will always see it happen when someone mentions this product is the best thing since sliced bread and my finds have tripled then someone else chimes in i have just ordered one as well and you then get the picture on how it works
Please note this is of course just my personal opinion and observations and not aimed at any specific company or person, but the internet has made this so much easier for them to do it.Of course high profile brand names dont have this problem as the loyal customers will provide honest feedback anyway.

Theres plenty of private individuals or small companys making detectors these days, Often they only make to order and dont want large scale manufacture, The late Vic Fiveash being a good example with the Red heats, Theres a couple new Pulse inductions being tested in Austrailia at the moment that can compete with the Whites & minelabs, but will retail for a much smaller price, Detector performance has not really improved in the last 20 years, But they have to bring out new models every year to grab your cash
Whites surf pi pro, Compass 77b, Laser Rapier Plus, Garrett Scorpion,

Well said Stu and nice to see someone stating the truth. The big boys have to keep us buying or being a micro hobby they would fold.
As I often put it, detector technology is like having 100 bricks to build a wall with, you can build it as high or as wide or deep as you like. you can even build it in pretty shapes but at the end of the day you are still only going to have 100 brick.
They just shuffle the technology deck and give us a new configuration.

Perhaps a little too cynical? By and large the machine reviews seem to match up with owners experiences, but I do agree that there will always be some OTT comments and claims by people who are maybe on the wrong side of several lagers.Mega B wrote:It certainly looks a chunky detector![]()

To twist the argument, someone could say that YOU are probably a sales rep from a rival company who does not want this machine to be a success? Only my personal opinion of course! ANY new machine helps to push the frontiers of technology in some way and makes the hobby that bit more interesting, but I think I will be staying with my beloved Deus for a long while yet, Liam
