You wont miss any targets with a PI on dry sand, Only downside i have found is thats where you tend to find hypodermic needles etc, so a sand scoop is a must
Think it just depends where you live, Bridlington has a well known heroin problem, Only other problem i have with my PI's on the dry sand is large amounts of fish hooks, But there are quite a few large national competitions held at brid which attract 100s if not 1000 plus anglers to the area. So fishing debris has to be expected. Dry sand digging is so easy comared to land its not a problem digging extra junk. always looks good when the public see you removing junk from areas there kids could be playing the next day
Ive used my cs4pi on land as well as the beach, its ok at places with not too much trash. After a bit you can tell if its prob iron as the signal has a different sound.cheers, goodluck with yours.
