cold on beach

Post by Tomo »

Braved the low temps last night and was rewarded with a total of 35p. Think most of the finds were hiding from the cold lol. Even the dry sand was frozen solid.

A find is a find so they say. nice one I was on a beach in Cornwall in the summer load came up.
Now we are planing a few days on the same beach from 26th Dec for a few days can't wait to get back on there to see the difference. it will be one more tick of the list of detecting areas I want to do.

Thats dedication for you being down on the beach detecting in this freezing weather, would it be fair to assume that during the summer months you would find the higher quality items say rings etc and during the winter the older deeper finds due to the weather shifting the sands around or is that not how it works ???

To be honest the beach is unpredictable and can open up cuts and gulleys in both summer and winter that will produce older and deeper finds.

Sports Mit's from aldi and shakey hand warmers from Tesco (£1 pair) is a must on the beach or land in this weather. Pop the Mits on then put the hand warmers along your fingers inside, Nice and toasty and the warmers get hot ::g
