few hours low tide

Post by Tomo »

Managed to grab a few hours low tide today and picked a few older items up
Silver buckle ring, looks old going by the pattern
Another silver ring or could be white gold as hallmarks are too worn and didn't give a smell with foil
Whopping size bullet with an outer shell
Clad and few older penny's etc
Jesus on cross partifact
Lead bullet
Dog tag
Big old spoon with initials carved into it (off ship wreck maybe's)

Funny enough I've never tried it yet. Its supposed to quieten it down a bit but to tell the truth its not needed as its runs luvly as it is on our beach even though its littered with iron

Spoon looks very old. That type of bowl is I suspect 1700/1800 at least

Thanks guys and cheers on the age of the spoon. Nice personal touch having his initials on it so no one nicks it aboard ship

The rings are nice but the spoon is the gem of the finds, shame the handle is missing as I've seen a few with the ships company name on.
