Thanks Oliver, that 4khz seems to be doing the business with the iron problem, I will certainly give that a go. The problem with watching Jeds videos is that they are so interesting that you end up watch more and more and time flies! That little brooch is a stunner, wonder what was in the packet ... Hi Liam i have had a bit of success using 7khz on a habitation site and found two small hammys one was a Scottish David coin but i do l ike to use 18khz for most of my searching i like to find the small bit to track down the better finds.

I have started to use 7khz on some fields and pulled out a silver stater that was deepish did have a slight iron buzz to the sig i have started to dig all sigs with a iron buzz now and these have turned out to be deeper finds had a Roman brooch a good 10 inches deep but as i said the sig was faint with a slight iron buzz so you could miss it so dig those iffy sigs with no numbers and a iron buzz.
