Have had Deus for a couple of months and am really not getting on with it. Using factory presets 2 and 3 I get an enormous amount of chatter - so much that any signal that is not a really solid gets lost in the noise. Have tried ground balancing using pumping and it fails completely on any field that is not like a billiard table. Settled plough, 15 attempts on different parts of the field with a fail every time. Pasture wth three inches of grass, fail every time. Field which was seeded and rolled three days ago and is just about as flat as a field can be, no problem. None of these fields are iron Infested and turn out mineralisation readings in the seventies.
Much more worrying than that was a faint signal with a positive meter reading from firm, reasonably level plough which turned out to be a sestertius at around four inches. I would have expected a solid signal at double that depth for such a large coin.
So, enormous amount of false signals at factory settings, depth terrible and refusing to ground balance on anything but a billiard table.
Any ideas?

Try to use ground balance on tracking , make sure that when you switch the machine on that it is at waist height , try Deus fast and turn the sensitivity down until the chatter stops , lower sensitivity will not affect depth, i have turned mine down as low as 80 on some fields and still found coins at 8 inches and beyond. Where do you have a meter that tells you that mineralisation is in the 70sBoltonjohn wrote:Have had Deus for a couple of months and am really not getting on with it. come on im still waiting to know how you get a reading of mineralization in the 70s
i think you are reading the ground balance instead of the mineralization meter
if it chatters turn down the sensitivity until the chatter stops
Simples
