Post by trappa »

Ok, the window cleaner woke me this morning giving me 2 hours in bed (nightshift) so i thought , why not.... lets go to the beach. Not the best day ive had, maybe the goodies werent there or maybe my head was up my ar*e.
Came away with: 6p in cash :)) , 3 sellable weights, 5 halfpennies 1941, 1958, 1904,1917 and unknown. a 1907 penny, a sixpence (year unknown) and 2 strange items.
Ah well, inland detecting tomorrow me thinks.....

I don`t think you`ve done too badly there, you have more pre-decimals than decimals,I`d be content with that.Oh and it looks like your sixpence is Elizabeth II (1953-1967). ;))

When I hear you guys moaning about the beach it reminds me why I don't go there. I'm less than a mile from Sandbanks beach in Dorset, but it still doesn't tempt me. Give me the pasture or ploughed or even woodland any day. But hey horses and courses fellas . HH

Thanks boys. You know its strange, i love the pasture/inland detecting but dont find nowhere near as much as when im on the beach. If id gone inland and found that lot i would have been well chuffed, but at the beach im not as ecstatic as i could/should be?!?
