Hi guys and girls do any of you use the big coil I think it's 11x13 if so is it any good compared to the standard one do you get more depth? Is it worth the money? Thanks Tony

Hi Still trying.
I have both standard and 13" and find I use the standard on new stubble fields,Then as they get hammered by other searchers I put the big one one and try to pinch an extra inch as they say.
I also use the big one if on a rally for quicker coverage.
In my own tests on my test bed I get about 2" extra depending on soil moister ,which has a big difference when detecting.
Only time will tell if the 11" will be any better that the big boy.
I have bought an adapter for the big one that gives better balance but have not had chance to try in the field yet.
Cheers and happy hunting

Thanks for the reply I might try and get one just now its just that I find with the 9" I only get about 4"/5" deep but the ground is very hard so I'm not sure?? Thanks again pal ::g Just to add do you have to change the settings when you use the bigger coil?

got both coils and have only ever used the 11" more coverage but find the pin-pointing a bit harder

Same here... Little Harder to pinpoint, a little more depth and more coverage. Weight is Harder, balance is worse ( the front is going down ). Same settings. Dont like the price, it should Be more friendly ( listen to that please XP :$) )
