I really believe now that the new version V3.01 is really good on Sunday i did an area that in the past i have ignored as it was ultra trashy I did find that i had to go very slow and as low as possible but the separation was first class. The small nice sounds were in amongst the crap . I managed to pop a small Roman coin and three other artifacts out of this area ( see my finds post )
So if you have not upgraded or are waiting for results i think you should upgrade and if you were dubious about it in the past give it a try you will love the separation it gives you and the slight extra depth
I must admit, I had the same opinion as I was digging silver sixpences at 8" with ease. The problem was is that I thought that they were only 2" deep!!!
I can't wait to try it on my next new permission in the next few days
Do you have the full DEUS with remote control or only a DEUS light?

Sure - iron and foil are belonging to our common finds.
Depends from the size of iron, if you can distingish by tone. Also very rusty iron (beer bottle caps here in Germany) sometimes gives a cool signal. Large iron you can determine by the lenght of the object. But of course it could also be a iron chest with lots of gold pieces in it ;-)
Foil - if it is thin, you can determine it by its ID - but be aware - this silver coins give the same value. If the foil is more massive (like after it has been burned on a fire or you get a ball of foil) you cant ignore it as well, since it could be also some golden jewelery.
With some training you can determine, what there really is by hearing the tone. But since you lack training for the good stuff, it is hard to decide not to dig the trash and let the gold ring in the ground, if there is one.
Digging trash is the less appealing part of our hobby. If you ignore trash, which is possible in many cases also with the DEUS, you will also ignore some good finds and leave them for others.
out tonight for one hour grass was to long but got 2 bun head vic coins and more iron still not very happy the iron is a pain its a great detector if you can get rid of the iron i never dig alot of iron wene i take out my safari
well at last today out with club iron disc and sounds sorted got mi first cut half short cross penney and half a romon brooch may be i will get full uns next time i think i will like the deus i still love my safari thoue haha happy hunting to all its great to get out in the sticks
