working a stoney beach

Post by loopylee »

What's the best way to dig on a stoney beach. I have a trowel and a border spade. I suppose I need a sheet to stop finds falling back into the stones but is there anything else I need?

I made one of these for stream detecting, i think it would work well on a stony beach, it's plastic so scoop up stones and wave over detector.
