Cs6mx is there a problem

Post by Cynfalchris »

Hi all
My name is Chris I'm from a small town called Blaenau Ffestiniog in North Wales . I did post very early this morning but when I got home from work tonight and checked if i got a reply to my post :Yes the wife decided to correct my spelling and lost my only 2 post I have ever made in my life B| So sorry for any spelling that's not correct I'm a very bad speller ;;z .
Sorry for the rant.
I'm trying to sort out if I have a problem with my cs6mx I've metal detected before 1st one was a c scope 770d 2nd a garret 150 I did not like then 3rd was a fisher 1266 then family commitments for 10 years .now trying to get back into it .the problem I'm getting is noise on the detector I've set the box at disc at 4/5 ground at auto iron at 0 disc vol at0 and can only get sensitivity at3 to 4 and is still making some noise . Tried at low level land and up in the mountain and hills it is still the same . There is no electric posts around or over head cabals to interrupt the detector I must get my head around this I don't want to be put off this hobby I want to find the hidden treasures of Wales so I don have to get up at silly o'clock in the mornings can sum one help if they want to share there cs6 mx knowledge with me in North Wales that can put me right with this machine. I think I might have to give c-scope a ring to find out if this is a problem with the detector there is a few more things I've go to try first to not look a fool I'm sorry about losing the first lot of posts but please please accept my apologist for the time you put in replying to my post I'm sorry
Wishing you all a happy Xmas and a happy new year to you all
Ps sorry about the spelling ::g

As Andyfraggle says, call us on (01233) 629181and ask for customer service. If you are unable to call during the day time, email us on service@cscope.co.uk , telling us the detector's serial number and your full name and address. We can then advise further. Thank you.

Hi Chris,
I too have a 6mxi and when I first got it I had nothing but chatter on it. CScope arranged to collect it and sent it back to me "Repaired" But again I had nothing but chatter on it so back it went. to cut a long story short, on the third time that it came back to me I once again set off but alas....chatter chatter chatter. so I sat in the field giving it some thought, there, like you said, were no electric cables, no electric fences and then it dawned on me. I turned of my mobile phone and hey presto. It has been fine ever since. not found my fortune yet but having a lot of other finds.
Hope your problem turns out to be the same mate.
Good luck.

Thanks all for your time on this.

I will give c-scope a bell tomorrow
For the answer about the mobile phone I've looked at problems on this forum
Before buying and haven't taken a mobile with me don't use much/ for example
I can get 5 days out of 1 charge a record for iPhone :D but thanks Kevin for the good advice.
Every bit of advice from people taking the time to put it on the forum may be not my problem
But will solve many problems for others .thanks again ::g ::g ::g

Hi all

Just spoken to Martin at c-scope with my problem with the detector and asked me for the number in the battery compartment.then went on the computer it is a problem with the coil. They are sending me a new coil in the next couple of days free of charge. Why can't all companies be like this no arguing just address the problem. A big thanks to c-scope for sorting out the problem and a big thanks to all that taken the time to post on the forum ::g .
My gold award for the best company for the last decade goes to drum roll .......... C-scope ::g ::g ::g

Thanks for taking the time to post the follow-up,.... service like this certainly plays a large factor in future purchases for me,....... Well done, C-Scope,..... pat on the back time,....
(But I bet they would say it is all part of the service..........)

Cheers, anyway,
