Butlins Skegness

Hi just after some advice if possible,I'm off to Butlins this weekend at Skegness for a Rock and Blues weekend is the beach there worth doing and has anybody got any tips/advice.I use an etrac by the way and never used it on the beach.Thanks in advance :)

if the beach is near butlins should have a few coins kicking about ::g

Was there last Sunday....unfortunately there is a lot of sand on the beach.
But that may change.

We stayed there two years ago (long weekend) there is a rear gate to the beach on site. but its not open until I think 09:30 its maned (security) so if wanting to go early need to walk or drive out the main gate and round. I did not have much luck though only a few coins... hope you have better

My advice would be down road at Ingoldmells used to have a caravan there...prob not so likely to have had as many pirates..oops mean dectorists down there.....

I'm in mablethorpe at the moment lot of new sand on the beach' give skeg a try nowt to lose

garrett pointer (2nd one) now a makro pointer no falsing

my advice would be ditch the blues and get out there detecting ... looks like that's what you have in plan anyway!! hit me with your rythm stick... x; x; x; x; ::g

Those beaches are awash with people in the summer so must be worth a good go at, like said the recent storms will of dumped loads of new sand there so must be worth a scout around. ::g

Hi,
Although I use a CTX3030, the E-trac on a beach should be equally as good with little falsing (it is a similar multi-frequency machine).
Start with the standard beach mode but open up the screen (I use a 'tadpole' discrimination).
