Not had the Deus long and every time I've gone to recharge the coil I used to think this is a very fragile connection and its only a matter of time before it breaks...and now its happened.

Connection clamp for recharging the coil.
Has anyone ever had the connection clamp for recharging the coil break on them. Just went to charge the coil up and one of the two pins on the clamp that fits into the two tiny holes on the coil snapped off. So an email to Crawfords on Monday to order another one.

Think a lot of people have had one break janner, mine took a year and 3 months of use, i suppose i used it twice a week, the pin just wobbled at first then just snapped off.
Not the greatest system really but there you go I suppose.
I bought 2 new ones,,,,just in case

I received my Deus on March 13th this year and just checked I've been on 15 outings with it, not even had it 2 months yet and its snapped. Good idea there Alloverrover, think I'll order a couple of extras for spares, going to need them at this rate.

Just been surfing the net about this and it does seem very common. I found two comments from XP explaining why. So thought I'd put those two comments on here as I have never read about this 10 second delay before......
When you place the charging clip onto the coil always drop it into position from above DO NOT WAGGLE IT. The contacts are gold plated they WILL make a good connection however the LED can take up to 10 seconds to light up indicating it's charging so be patient.
That could happen because when coil is fully discharged, the LED need 10
seconds to turn on when you plug the clamp, and sometime customers damage
the two metallic pins of the clamp because they don’t see the LED on, and
then they move the clamp thinking it was not well connected, doing this the
pins can be damaged.
If you plug the clamp in line and wait that the LED come on, I am sure you
will never break it.
I have to admit that's exactly how I just broke mine....
....... lesson learnt.
