Today-2 gold rings in one day using Sea Hunter 2 - Frinton

Post by dirtdigglerdean »

This is my finds today- Location Frinton Beach- Essex

Over the moon today to find my first gold ring but then I went on to find another !! :)

Ok first off I dug the usual junk must of dug easy 15-20 bits of junk before my first coin even, I was on the upper part of the beach to start as tide was still going out. As the tide went out I started hitting the area where the sand was lower so i could hit the hard pack.

So I got a load of junk
24 pence in spendable
One lead fishing weight breakaway type
One farthing coin 1934

Bling- One 24k 8 gram ring date - 1909
One 18k 13 gram ring- date 1914

I could not believe how old these rings were.

Lovely finds :)
Its better out of the ground and in your hand for the history or monetary value rather than left in the ground to rot doing nothing for anyone.

Cheers guys

Totally addicted now :)

That's my 4th trip to beach had 2 crap days, and one ok day and went back today and bingo
so persistence does pay off in this as you find them when you least expect it.

Going to try some other beaches then come back to Frinton in a few days.

Cant wait till winter months now when we get more storms to bring up more goodies.

Hey yeah its a good machine, may write a full review on it after a few more outings , the only thing i will say its a dig all machine apart from if its v loud and after a time you will know the item is too big to be a ring, I dig all small signals and the faint ones the second ring came off a faint signal only just about got it.

I am going to invest in the larger coil available 11x14 one to cover more ground and to get maybe an inch or so more depth.
