Beach detecting: Summer time.

Post by 180felixstowehunter »

Ok so I'm about to embark on a summer of beach detecting. Staying strictly in felixstowe. Every evening from 8 til dark (roughly 1 half hrs light), and every time I get chance (busy with a house move atm so spare time isn't so frequent unfortunately). Anybody wish to join me anytime for an hour or so. Reply and I'll see if we can meet. My goal is coinage and ultimately jewellery. Summer is the best time with all these sunbathers. But hey, finders keepers I always say ;)
My ace 250 is the tool for the job. Jewellery mode with first notch discriminated out and three bars down on sensitivity works great on the dry sand and shingle. On the wet sand when low tide I use the same settings , although I lower the sensitivity another two notches and this seems to cancel out the false signals. Anyway. I'll upload pics on here every night of my findings.
