Underwater detector ?

Post by Cornwall08 »

Just wondere what is a good underwater metal detector? I have a spring to detect near a villa and the pool is quite deep and I am sure plenty of offerings would have been thrown in over the years so just want to get an underwater detector and get in there

it really all depends on your budget, there are handful of good 1s but they are all pricey even the 2nd hand 1s are quite expencive but im sure a Garrett AT Pro would do if you got 1 cheep enough ::g

The Tesoro Sand Shark is a pulse induction machine so has no discrimination. As there is probably a lot of scrap at the bottom a PI machine would drive you mad.

I have used the sandshark as said it is a PI and yes it would drive you nuts as it will find tiny flakes of iron but hay you would find all that is in the water. (:| ::g

organic material gets washed in over the millenia so any finds could be 5 feet deep without a current to wash muck away .leaves ,twigs ,branches and runoff soil when it rains all get washed in and sit on the bottom building up .

Wouldn't it be easier to hire a deep sea dredger? I would pay to see someone from the forum using the thing at 200ft ... wonder if he would be covered by the NCMD insurance though?
