Eyes only Thames finds.

Post by deano69 »

Hello all, thought you might like to see my finds from the last couple of weeks from the foreshore.
Most we're found in the mud and stones, all from a stretch of about 100m.
The first is a couple of rose farthings, the second a couple of lead tokens( the smallest @13mm), the next a king George v coronation medal and lastly a plaque from a Victorian barrel knife sharpener.
Thanks for looking ::g

Not at the mo, I don't have the PLO permit. I'm not sure I want to as there is so much iron I think it would drive you mad! I havn't completely ruled it out though as some of the guys who do find some real cool stuff ::g

a tektor on the thames foreshore will be going like a machine gun in your ears ,not much use at all
as the accumulation of various metals and bottle tops is awesome ,from the microscopic to very large ,all metals from brass and copper rivets too, so discrim wont do you any good

Thanks mate, I've met a guy called Mackay who's been on it, real character with some great stories.
Another guy I've chatted to goes by the name of Woolwich John, if you go on Thames and field site and look in the river finds this guy finds some amazing stuff with a little Laser scout.
