Low tide hammies

Post by former member »

Scratchin' around in the rocks and clay and.... blow me out pops a hammy, 10 minutes later and 20 feet away out comes her twin :-O

Spent the next hour and a half combing the area thinking about shipwrecks, but no more.....

Yep, a double strike. Not uncommon at all for coinage of that era. There are some pretty interesting die errors on some coins too...... ::g

Very nice. Especially for off a beach/foreshore area. Would imagine this might under the treasure act via your crown foreshore agreement so don't forget to hand them in if necessary. As you say, possibly from a wreck, maybe others around. ::g :ml
