I am a newbie with the Deus and have read on several websites that the Deus is great for picking up finds which are close to an iron object, e.g. a nail. If the nail is 'upstream' of the good find then I assume you will hear a buzz followed by a tone, and vice versa if the find is upstream of the nail.

Is the indicator fast enough to show tthe two different numerical values? Any help you could give on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Give it a test try in your garden

A nail and a coin placed near each other will let your ears hear the differences and watch the display also. See how close you can get the 2 targets etc. Try other programs using the same technique.

Obviously it's different out in the field, but a few home tests can give you more confidence in what you are hearing etc.
