Coil flat or faulty

Post by esox »

Help want to go out tomorrow, went to charge up tonight normally straight forward but
noticed the light on coil was not flashing as it should after charging (solid light on charge)
tried reconnecting no good, put spare clip on no good, but still the same very faint flashing light.
Remote and headphones ok and remote says No Coil,is this very flat battery or a faulty coil ?

Double check that the coil serial number has not been accidentally changed on the controller. Jerry.

Thats a shame, sounds like a coil battery problem or the coil electronics. Guess its a call to Regtons tomorrow. :( Jerry.

PS How old is the coil ?

Hi esox, mine done the same, , sent back to Regtons via Leisure Promotions who I brought it from. Then on to Xp in France for investigation, replaced with new coil, took about 5 weeks.
If it's your only coil Regtons will normally loan you a spare one until yours is fixed or replaced.

Problems such as this are being reported more frequently than is good for XP who otherwise enjoy an excellent reputation :-O :-O ss47

Maybe because they are so popular & therefore more of them out in the field....... we certainly haven't noticed any reliability trends.

esox

try your friends coil with your charger and cable just to rule it out and ask your friend to try your coil on his charger and machine.
