Hi all
Just a line to say I tried some new boots today. They are Tomcat Dakota boots.
They are very light and metal free (rubber eyelets etc) and water repellent. They were very comfortable considering they were new and although it was very wet on my permission today my feet remained dry. Prior to these I wore the Lowa Desert army boots, which are great, but the metal eyelets were giving off a signal on my back sweep.
They have a reinforced mid-sole so I'm hoping they'll cope with all the digging.
We'll see.
Cheers and HH

There are many safety boots and shoes now made of composite material available, our firm uses Arco (Branches Nationwide) open to the public too.
