No Coil

Post by Handydig »

I've just bought new Deus .Read instructions ,put it together ,charged it etc.
I took it out to try it this afternoon only to be greeted with 'NO COIL' coming up
on control unit.Took machine home and followed instructions out in manual
on how to edit /name coil settings.Still doesn't find coil.Coil was charged
and flashes every few seconds as usual.
Wondered if anybody can help me?
Thank you

Need to pair the coil, see the instructions, but the whole serial number needs putting in or it won't find it, when I got mine it wasn't paired, good luck

If you purchased the coil as part of the package it should already be paired but if the coil was bought separately you will need to follow the pair procedure.

Thank you.I bought coil as part of package .
When I went into coil settings the serial
number was already in there.
I deleted it and redid coil ID and name ,again no luck.
At the moment I'm using just control box with wired
headphones until I can afford the XP
wireless items.Cant think this would make
any difference to problem?

Just a thought, I've done it with mine when I had a Deus lite and brought a control box.
Make sure you put the right character in, I tried putting in a letter o not realising it was a number zero.

If nothings working maybe an update issue.

Is the box running version 3.2 if not update it.

could try also try reinstalling the 3.2 version and then trying to pair the coil again

Hi. Deus is running v3.2 .I take it that the serial number is
the larger set of digits on coil and not the others?
But like I mentioned the serial number I replaced was the same as
the original in Coil settings.
Think I will try replacing soft wear and see what happens.
thank you

Yes large set of numbers..

It should have worked out the box with no need to pair it unless you messed around with the coil programming before you took it out..

I would reinstall 3.2 and if no joy contact the dealer.

Hi.Deus is running V3.2 .Serial number on coil
matches the one on control box.Can only think
I have a faulty coil or control box.Would it be worth trying to reload 3.2 again or
just phone supplier in morning?
Thank you

Some alphas look like numerals make sure that the serial number is correct.

Even Nigel has had folks contact him in the past with this simple error.

When the coil is attached to the shaft it can make it difficult to see number clearly.

Your box will also carry the serial number if in doubt.

Best of luck. Jerry.

Silly question but you do have the coil next to you when trying to pair it to the control box.

Also have you fully charged the coil.

If your defiantly inputting the correct serial number I would say you have a fault somewhere.

Like I've already said you should have no need to pair it

I'm sure you'll get it sorted once you've spoken with the dealer.

Good luck ::g

Bit strange. I charged coil and remote as soon as I'd read instructions and put machine together.
White LED lit up on coil and charging went on for 2.5 hours until led started to flash.
Ive just plugged charger back onto coil again and remote started bleeping and has connected to the coil.I'm going to allow the coil to take a full charge cycle then try again.
Fingers crossed
