I got the 11 inch coil with controller and WS4's by the way.
I only had time for an hour or so detecting today and being a veteran of Youtube videos concerning the Deus I decided to jump in with both feet on the GM power setting, changing to other standard settings once i had a signal just to see how they sounded.
I went to a nearby pasture permission of mine which hasn't produced much for me and the trusty T2 for a while and the grass was a little bit longer than I'd have liked however I managed to get the Deus up and running without any fuss.
Within six feet i had my first signal and out came a badly corroded halfpenny which was a positive start!
My next signal was a Victoria bunhead which wasn't in great condition and I think from 1862 but it is corroded on the back and the date is difficult to see.
Third find made my heart skip a beat as I thought it was something really special but it turned out to be a rather nice little button instead.
Next came a corroded thimble and finally on it's first outing the Deus came up trumps with a nice William IIII sixpence. Sorry about the picture quality I was in a bit of a rush!

Needless to say my first impressions of the Deus are that it is a brilliant bit of kit. My T2 isn't a heavy machine but the Deus is lighter and the wireless aspect is just brilliant. I now understand why they are so popular.
