A few finds North West

Post by Pav »

Southwest beaches have been fustrating me. At least the ones I have been on are deep in sand. Valentine's Day put me up North and I have the greatest wife who let me go detecting as long as I picked up a curry on the way back to the hotel.

So the beach didn't disappoint. Just sad not to find the yellow, I feel like it was close.

I also found a nice Royal Engineer hat badge but it's in the van. Will add a photo when I bring it in.

Trying to see a date on the oldest of the pennies as its one of the "thicker" ones. Any ideas when the thick ones date from?

The badge. Has not be cleaned. Came out in really good condition.
