Not sure what you call close to Glastonbury. I am in Devon near Cullompton.
Could be an interesting area round Somerset if you ever get any permissions.

Like you been doing it about a year. I did try contacting a local club but they are either all full or don't seem very interested. Didn't even get a reply from one round here. (Rude lot in my view).

If you ever get permission for a large area give us a shout if you want some help searching. I work full time so I only get free time at weekends. I am 59

Hi Stocker, i am over near Yeovil, but have a few permission in Ashcott and Compton dundon area.

Am 25 and regularly go out with my brother (31) detecting.

Welcome aboard the forum train - imagine if you could get permission for the Glastonbury festival fields. You'd probably be a millionaire with the coins that must have been dropped over the years.
