Hi all, I'm currently eagerly awaiting my equinox as my first machine. I am starting to collect kit in preparation. I have the sand scoop but wonder do you guys hold it in the off hand as you detect or do you have it strapped to your backs? (and if you have it strapped, how/what kit do you use please?)
Many thanks and kind regards
Carl

Hi Carl, personally I drag my sand scoop as it shows a line where I have detected in the sand
Or sometimes just rest it over my shoulder.

Due to a motorbike accident this march. I've lost the use of my left arm and hand so I can not hold a spade so I had to use a made up harness to go around my chest to hold the spade of the ground and my sand scoop to ..,

Hi Carl, after 4/5 hours of carrying on my shoulder, I find my hand starts to lose blood flow an go to sleep,so I tryed pulling it along, which actually works quite well, arm straight down an holding with two fingers,I am now thinking to make an attachment for my belt ,to clip it on....mike
Hi all,
Thanks very much for your advice - the dragging in the sand sounds like a really sensible thing to do as i imagine getting confused about orientation would probably happen to me fairly quickly (shortly after my first diggable signal no doubt!).
I like the idea of a harness especially for land digging however and really appreciate all your tips
Best wishes
Carl
