Try it - you never know

Post by Boandtia »

A couple of days ago whilst the U.K was freezing and battered by storms, I was in the Mediterranean
Sea hunting with my trusty Excalibur 11. About 10 minutes in and close to the shore a good signal came through the Surfphones. Two scoops later out it popped, but before emptying the scoop I scanned the hole again and heard another faint but good signal. Removing the 50 Centimos coin from the scoop, I re-scanned the hole ...NOTHING !! I scanned the spoil heap from the hole and bang, nearly blew my ears off and out of the scoop popped a Euro coin, quite happy with that. Something was niggling me though, I HAD heard another faint signal in the hole, I scanned it again and still nothing. So I did what I always do in theses situations, dug another scoopful from the hole and lo and behold back came the same weak signal. I dug another scoopful and up came a lovely 18k gold engraved wedding ring. The moral of the story ... if you have a good signal and lose it ... keep digging, it might just pay off. ;)

Very nicely done ... but the moral of the story for me is who needs to be up to their arm pits in freezing mud, when there is an alternative in the med!! OooO
Imagine there is no heaven, only sky above us.
