Looking for some help, going to pick up a Deus Lite WS4 tomorrow, but i am torn between the LF 11" Black coil and the HF 9" White coil?
I would obviously love to get both but really want to save up for the control box first so likely to be 6 months or so before i can get the other coil.
I mainly hunt on Roman and Medieval sites and like going over the iron infested areas and picking out the small targets, mostly interested in finding Roman and Hammered coins, i have done some research and heard very positive reviews about the 9" HF coil and heard they perform great on these sites in the higher frequencies.
However, i dont know how feasible it would be to just have this coil instead of just the 11", spoke to a couple UK dealers who both reccomend the 11" coil but dont know if this is because they want to drive up business on these particular coils?
Would love some advise from people who already have both coils and which one they wouldn't go out without, i go out twice a week so dont want to make the wrong choice!
Also if anyone has a Deus for sale or looking to purchase a Garrett AT Pro with lots of accessories just drop me a message.
Many thanks.
What Deus Coil Should I Get?

I have both the 11” and round 9” HF coils. I personally think you would be better off initially opting for the 9” round HF coil, the target separation is much better and it is a nice coil to use. I often use it on normal clean ground in 28khz instead of the 11” coil and notice no difference in depth between the two. It is also lighter and probably more versatile but the slightly less ground coverage is not really noticed. I also have the control box but in hindsight I would be quite happy with just having the 9” HF coil with WS4's alone as that is really all you need as the lifted tones of the 9” HF coil make targets stand out even better. The 11” coil may cover a bit more ground and have lower frequencies but performance wise any differences are barely noticeable apart from the 9” round coils far superior target separation which will vastly beneficial in iron infested ground where I have found targets that the 11” coil did not. It's just my opinion, hope it helps you.

Thanks Easylife, really helpful info there and exactly what i needed, i was swaying towards the 9" HF because it seemed like the one that would be best for the sites I detect.
Was just a bit thrown off after speaking to these two big companies who suggested the HF coils are mainly to be used as an add-on and i would get on much better with the 11" LF coil, guess they just wanted me to come back in a month or 2 for the HF as well.
Nice to hear that it will perform in all areas just as i want it to, can't wait to get it!

Good advice from Easylife

From the description of the sites you will be searching I would suggest the 9" HF.
I have the 11" and 9" HF, 11" quiet pasture/planted ground, beach, 9" everything else whether that is at high frequency on very contaminated areas where it excels at picking out the non ferrous fragments or drop down to 14khz if you want that bit more depth
(I had the old 9" before but never dropped it under 12khz)
