I dug some Martini Henry bullets from a primary school playing field a few years back when they were landscaping. Also were several 303 rounds and a couple of others i could not identify at the time.
Some live 303 also came out and a lot of casings. The field was used for target practice and for testing during WWII by the home guard and local munitions factory. Local police had a fit when i put the live ones on their counter. Kids are still playing on the field and i`m sure there will be more live stuff inches under their feet.I really would not like to be on the receiving end of a Martini Henry or a Snider.
