He was one of the chaps who worked for British Waterways before it became the Canal and rivers trust , he’s job was to find sites from local landowners to dump the dredging from the canal.
He told me of many sites along the canal from Stourport to Wombourne where the dredge slurry mud was deposited.
This made a lot of sense as as he said the scrap metal was removed and only mud and bottles were left.
He lives locally to me so has said that he would make a list of the sites as he still remembers them well , as soon as he gets back to me I will post the information on here so people can have a look around for a rare find
