Wooden British box WWII

In a cellar I’ve found this wooden British box, 142x147x106 mm:

I think that it’s British because of the “Broad Arrow”:

The trademark “B&P”:

Year:

Details:

Inside in iron 90x90 mm:

I believe that it was used to carry a fuze. Anyone could tell me more?

Lovely box Silvio. This would have contained a few hundred 9mm rounds. :)

Hi Silvio,

These type of crates would have contained lots of small cardboard boxes, containing 9mm rounds. There was also a larger version for .303 rounds.
