First finds from first permission for id please

Post by Jml »

Hi all, first post for me. I found these on my first permission which is a pasture field very close to a scheduled saxon monument and there have been quite a few roman finds in the area aswell.

Im hoping the 2 brooches are roman.
Ive got no idea at all what the hourglass shaped lead item is. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Nice finds! The lead item might be a dumbbell musket ball....Others will no doubt identify the brooches.

Hi, and welcome to the forum, jml. [81/]

As Phil says, someone will be able to shed more light on the brooches.

2 Roman brooches on your first permission- can't ask for better than that. Well found [81/]
