coin + other item

Post by FinderFind »

Hello All,

been finding some interesting items, but cannot ID many of them,
got my first (probably) very old coin, but I cannot tell what it is,

I have cleaned it up the best I can, its very worn but if anyone has any ideas,
its a bit bigger than a modern 2p coin, I think its bronze, fairly thin.
I know its not an amazing find, but being my first old coin I would really
like to know when it comes from.

I cannot make out anything at all on one side, but on the first picture I can see
some text at the top, looks like an R, a G and IV at the top (maybe LV). not
sure on anything else, any guess is welcome.

second item I think may be an old watch key but i'm not sure?.
its about an inch tall, I think it may be made of gold
(but I could be wrong), looks like a lion on one side and a horse.
on the other side it says wood ruff high st, roat? some letters I cannot make out
anyone know possible date or can confirm what it is?.

Thanks

On the other hand if it doesn't say Margate then I'm wasting my time!! :))

Hi All,

Thanks, I think you could be right, might be margate!.

I think it could be gold, but not sure.

Hello,

it's probably not solid gold as you say.

Thanks.
