I would say they are 577 snider bullets as the British army used those bullets from 1867–1901 along with the 450 Martini henry and so on

.297 -.230 Morris short & long.Used in barrel inserts in Martini rifles and also Webley .450-.455 .1880-1882.The hollow is to wind a rod with a cork screw attachement into the bullet nose if there is a blockage

I enjoy finding them also,

Sometimes they have numbers stamped inside
If you don't go out and look your never find it ::g
