We could do with an educational, locked, sticky; where UXO before and after pictures could be seen by newcommers to detecting. Most of us don't go looking for the darned things but it's good to know what they may look like if we ever come across them.

It wasn't untill RRPG posted a picture of an Hawkins A/P mine that I knew what one looked like.
Had a Hawkins turned up under my spade; I would have thought that it was an oil can with a bracket on it!

I have to say i agree i do think we need some sort of thread or post describing these things so people know what they are finding. ::g

Spotted the big red banner across the top. Hopefully a disclaimer or similar will appear in due course. Not going to stop people posting, but at least gives them responsible guidance.
