Heres the fuse and some other bits

Post by slashter »

from the old US army camp

Ive washed the fuse. Its dimensions are actually 60mm diameter &90mm tall (with white crystals coming out the top!!!!!!!)

The other photo are all items off the same site this afternoon.

A red pin,95mm tall with a hollow metal cylinder under it...any ideas?...fire fighting stuff?

Top middle thing. 30mm tall,15mm diameter. Something seems to slide on the arm for grip & it goes up & down????...compressor, hosepipe???

I think i recognise the thing below!!!!!...there must have been a yank based there who was dull enough to bring his golf clubs with him

What on earth is the block on the right. It scored quite highly on the ace 250. Its got grooves in it, its dimensions are 150mmx50mmx38mm & it weighs 4lbs 14...is it a counter weight for something?

You can get the brass part of that fuze MUCH cleaner. Get yourself down the supermarket and buy one of those heavy duty scourers, the ones made of tight coils of steel strips. Also get some brillo pads. Scrub the brass part first with the scourer and soapy water, then rinse and clean with the brillo pad using just water, not soapy. This will get it so clean you will be able to read all the marks, including the fuze type and date it was made.
