Quick tip

Post by kernelcuster »

I know this is obvious but I have seen a few people detecting the beach with mini spades.
If you plan detecting the wet stuff use a long spade and drag behind you, it will leave a line in the sand so you can see where you have already been.
Not so important at places where the tide only goes out a short way but here in Burnham the tide goes out miles.
For there is nothing lost, that may be found, if sought!

Another one is to mark a decent find hole with an X. You will often see a pattern forming

forget the spade, you really need a ss sand scoop for the beach, it will save you a lot of time, backache and heartache ::g

I am only 20 miles from the coast, must get out there after a storm and see what turns up, great tips, Liam ::g :;@

Not much good on our shingle beaches here in Dorset though LOL not much choice but a good old spade for me I'm afraid, looks a great bit of kit for sand though.
