Can Anyone ID These?

Post by Goodluck247 »

Hello! I have had these items for quite a few years now and have never managed to identify them. They all came from what was an old barracks in Norfolk. In the same area as these Items I found hundreds of .303 blanks, a few lead bullets from a Martini Henry and a some bits of blown up shrapnel.
I was told the first items may be the caps of rifle grenades?

This is the first two of these 'things' we found. I dug up another two when I was last in Norfolk. They seem to be made from a ferrous metal with a corroded nut on one side. The bit that puzzles me is the rubber washer going round the edge. They are just under 6cm in width.

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Yep. Chances are they are ordnance related. Look like grenade or artillery shell parts.
