Bullet I'd ,!!!

Hi,please could this be I'd for me I am guessing it is a bullet?,it is approx 17 mm long and approx 11 mm in diameter ,found three inches down in woodland ,the woods have pow history,I thought all bullets were lead :-/ ,thanks in advance ::g ::g

Looks like a .45ACP.( Automatic Colt Pistol),Bullet.
Same old MIDAS,Just been resurrected!!

Measure the width. If its between 11mm and 12mm is likely to be 0.45 calibre. The same 0.45 calibre cartridge was used in pistols and also sub machine guns like the Thompson. I don't think you'd find many civilian guns of that calibre knocking around in this country so its most likely military ::g
