here is some more finds that have been cleaned these all came from the same area around were a hanger used to be some were on the surface and it is close to a small clump of trees had a quick look in the trees and there is pieces of broken crockery all over the could this be a dump I will have a look when the nettles have died back a bit

If you can see crockery shards then I reckon you have a good spot to search. May be some nice finds amongst the broken stuff. Leave it until the nettles have gone and you will have an easier time! [:)

nice finds you have a bomb arming fork amongst that lot .......if there is broken crockery there is a good chance you have found the dump ! the holy grail for relic hunters! s;..

The little fork thingy is indeed a bomb arming fork, specifically from a No. 27 nose pistol. These were retained in the bomber when the bombs + pistol were dropped, attached to the bomb arming wire. The wires and forks were then dumped when the aircraft returned to base. They are a common find in airfield dump sites, but there will be much more there.......dig deeper !!!

Check all other bits for part numbers. The RAF were great at number/coding EVERYTHING !

I have a copy of 'British Bombs and Fuzes' published during WW2 by the Americans :) :) :) Has pictures of everything and descriptions of how they work :)
