keep an eye on ground balance

Post by Tomo »

Had a really struggling day yesterday finds wise while Roman bronze,s popped out left right and centre for other members. I put it down to the walk over factor and kept trying. While checking a target for the missus I noticed I couldn't pick up this target while she could with the power ? I checked the settings and noticed the ground balance was reading way low while I was still on 90. I'd only forgot to keep it a few notches above all day, no wonder wasn't picking anything up. I quickly lowered it from 90 to 75 and straight away my Mrs detector started to make mine go crackers and alot more sensitive and I tried again and it picked up the signal that it didn't see a minute before. I then walked 3 foot and bang, a Roman bronze straight away and noticed I was picking up alot more stronger signals. Every signal after adjusting the GB seemed sharper and clearer after that. Can't believe I'd forgot to keep a check on the GB throughout the day rl;
