Just to clarify, you cannot physically stop DFX transmitting in both of its frequencies, you can however certainly choose 3KHz or 15KHz and then you are telling the machine not to process and present information from the frequency you haven't selected. This is different from V3i for instance where you can indeed transmit on a single frequency if you wish.
Had a week away with the Whites DFX using the setting that manicdev posted for me .the settings worked well on the wet sand found the old coin tent pegs and bits of scrap.
I have ordered my self a C Scope 4pi should receive delivery in time to take away with me this weekend and give it a try and put it through its paces I will dig everything and hopefully get some good finds looking forward to it. and will post results up on my return.

Finally got my c-scope 4pi and off to the beach with it along with my 3 grand daughters one of them using my c-scope 4mxi she is only 8 years old so struggled with the weight of it but once she got the hang of it she was fine she picked up a few coins and some tent pegs even found a bit of junk jewellery a small ring so she was well pleased.(all on the dry sand)
I also was picking up coins and tent pegs and other bits of scrap from a much deeper depth using my new c-scope 4pi, but really wanted to try it out on the wet sand.
Once on the wet sand I was very impressed with its performance no false signals and plenty of depth picked up a few coins and the odd bit of scrap, picked up bigger scrap objects at depths of 12" plus.
Went down to Anderby Creek where I was approached and asked for my assistance in trying to find a lost Gold Wedding ring which I was only to pleased to assist and Bingo I found it and reunited it with its owner, it made my day.
