deus factory settings

hi just got my new deus full, i was wondering if the factory programs are good enough to just start detecting ie recovery depth seperation,i have heard that i can only expect to get between 4-5 inches in factory presets is this true or do i have to tinker with them to get better results if so could anyone send me some programes they use i hunt mainly pasture but also do some beach work

I can assure you that the Deus factory settings are fantastic and anyone who starts off detecting with the Deus would be well advised to stick to those factory settings until that really understand the machine and its capabilities. As for depth,, I have had the Deus for 3 years now and have found many many great finds at depths far deeper than 4 or 5 inches. Stick to Deus fast or GM Power or Basic 1 and 2 for a while and you will not be disappointed. Good Luck.

I messed about with custom settings and tweaking things myself and the program I came back to after 2 years of toying with it was GMP it is the best program in my opinion. Go for fast if the area is full of iron.

Is it running in V3.2 or the new V4 ? A great detector

once again your answers are very much appreciated,just got the machine a week ago its the v3.2
should it have being the v4,or is it simple to up grade.
