Well, we made it down to Camber Sands today although a little later than originally intended due to staying up to watch the Eurovision Song Contest rl;
Beautiful day for it although the wind was something else, definitely feeling a little scrubbed on the face now!
We parked down by the Kite Surfing centre where it was free and then walked backed up to the main zone (G) where the most sand could be found. Pickings were indeed very slim. We worked in 'All Metal' mode but notched out iron. Came away with just a £1 coin and a 1p but it was really good experience to try the Ace out on totally dry sand and use our homemade sand scoop for the first time.
It was quite a hike to get down there, almost 2 hours each way, so we probably won't be rushing to go down again any time soon. Glad we went though...
