any idea what this is.its the same size as a 20 p and blank on the other side

Looks like it says "....M II ROY " So i'm thinking King something the second.

Similar,but then again the cross on the crown goes in between different words on the different coins.

wow,thanks very much for that id jayreef.it always amazes me how you experts find these id'.s
i found 3 of these coins or similar in my sisters horse paddock in febuary.they came out of the ground
looking just like a blank disc.it was only last week i decided to try and clean the crud off, and what do you know with your id,i will be going back to the paddock this week!
with your superior knowledge on the subject ,were these milled or hammered.i cant get a definative answer from my research,it seems 1656 was an important year ,with certain french milling processes being employed by cromwell.

I think you being a bit kind :)

anyway, I would guess at milled :)

hammered and copper did not really go hand in hand from my research, probably has a bronze core
