yep, its a .22 blank. Usually used in 'starter pistols', you can get some slightly longer, and they are used in 'target launchers', and such...
looks as if it hasnt been fired, but I think you are still allowed to have blanks without a certificate,... (I wouldn't be doing anything silly with it, though!!) LOL!
Cheers, Fred

Hi Sometimes it can be tricky.. the 6.8 mm Hilti hammer uses simular cartrigde.

These are mass produced and used.. They come in a different colour and power range.. Used to Shoot a steel nail through steel beam ect..

The starter gun is I think 5,6 mm... there will be several of diferent type around of these. Butcher uses them for Bolt gun to (gun who shoots a bolt in brain on a cow, sheep, horse ect)

Hello, again,... Having had another look at the 'crimp', it does seem slightly open, so may well have been fired,... as said above, look on the rim at the bottom for a 'nick/dent'... this will be the bolt firing mark,.. even if not fired, it isnt really a problem,...
the longer version was used in a 'target launcher', which launched a dummy pack for dog training purposes,... or an old beer can, for target practice,... I used to launch old beer cans with one for mates to blast at with a twelve bore in the old days,.... wot with this thing booming away in my hand, and twelvies whistling over my head, no wonder my ears are well nick/nacked!!!!
Cheers, Fred
