just a continuation of a previous thread really, but have come up with this for the .50 cal heads.
A nice piece of hardwood,approximately the size of a video tape (remember them? ), with holes 12mm diameter drilled to a depth of about 10mm,using a milling machine to get an exact depth every time.have left a few empty for clarity
then a drop of teak oil to finish off.may use a blob of evo stick or something similar to hold em in nice and tight .
Stops them rolling about quite nicely.

I did exactly the same thing with some old cartridges that wouldn't stand on a shelf due to misshapen bases. You can get really clever and do the same with two sheets of perspex
