Help with I Ds Please

Evening guys, am looking for some help with these two bits, neither was dug but they formed part of my childhood collection of ' stuff ' , the fuse i believe was given to me by Grandparents, the family has a long history in Woolwich, with relatives working at the arsenal ( and playing football for them ) and the MOD, the second bit i cant remember whether it came from the same source or not, i seem to remember it could be German but am not sure.
The fuse is about 70mm at the widest, has 109 on the brass and K.Z 14
L.J.W 15. on the steel .

The cylindrical object is 220mm long and 52mm diameter, 52K-B, H (over 344) 37
298, Rhs (over 143) 1936

Could well be, am sure thousands fell around there, it feels to light for a projectile also

Waffenamt (WaA) was the German Army Weapons Agency. It was the centre for research and development of Germany and also during the Third Reich for weapons, ammunition and army equipment to the German Reichswehr and later Wehrmacht. It was founded 8 November 1919 as Reichwaffenamt (RWA), and 5 May 1922 the name was changed to Heereswaffenamt (HWA).



Basically, exactly the same as our WD arrow or crows foot

Should also add that the incendiary was made by Rhienmetall Borsig in Sommerda - most common maker of these little devils.

Nice find...however all the German WW2 incendrey bombs I have seen weight one or two pounds..and are very thin walled..almost like sheet metal..this looks like turned steel..but I could be wrong..nice clear markings.

All the ones I've seen like this are made from solid lumps of magnesium.

Urrmmm, don't want to be a boring so and so, but didn't the incendiary bombs sometimes contain anti-handling charges?

Rarely, but yes. Mind you, the fact that it contained a big lump of incendiary compound would put most people off handling one anyway! Without actually handling this example I couldn't be certain it was totally inert. However, given the holes in it and 'lack' of weight, it is almost certainly inert. As for the anti handling device.........It's been handled for 70odd years which suggests it hasn't got one !
