Hi all first time out with my garrett 250 ace and picked up two copper coins. Once id cleaned them it seems they are possibly from a ship called the Admiral Gardner with sank in 1809 . Both the coins are dated 1808. They wont be from the Admiral Gardner if you found them on a beach in Cornwall, The copper coin/tokens all came from the wreck on the Goodwin sands, Kent. Friend of mine was one of the Divers on the salvage crew. 1000's were sold at the old Charing cross market, plus a lot were given away as shipwreck treasure in a promotion for ship matchs
